Review: Sleek MakeUp Blush By 3 in 'Lace'

♫ EXO - My Lady

My first ever Sleek MakeUp product! (≧∇≦)

I took advantage of a sale from Luxola a few weeks back, when they had 35% off coupon code. I'd been eyeing this palette ever since it was released (quite a while back), and now I finally have the chance to try it for myself - Blush By 3 palette in 'Lace'.

Front (outer packaging)
Back (outer packaging)
The outer packaging is a simple matte cardboard box with the brand and product name in front, while the back has its description, ingredients list and brand information.

Sleek Makeup Blush By 3 palette
The palette itself is quite heavy and has a matte surface with a glossy Sleek logo. It's made from plastic but feels pretty sturdy. I like the packaging; it's clean, elegant and... sleek. (¬‿¬)

Back of the palette
Open up the palette and you'll be greeted by three pretty big pans of blush. There is a large mirror under the lid which is as big as the palette itself. On the back of the palette are details of the blush, as well as the names of the individual blush shades.

Blush By 3 in 'Lace' consists of three complementing coral-pink shades:
Crochet - An orangey coral matte shade;
Guipure - A pink shade with gold shimmer, which looks like a slightly more shimmery version of NARS Orgasm; and
Chantilly - A crimson red matte shade.

Swatches (click to enlarge)
The pigmentation of these blushers is seriously no joke! You definitely need a light hand for these, especially Chantilly and Crochet. Guipure is great as a highlight shade on the cheekbones, or mixed with either of the other two shades for a lovely glowing blush.

Below are some pics of the blushes when applied on the cheeks.
Chantilly
That was my first time using it (applied using blush brush) and I sort of overdid it, which explains why it shows up so well on my camera, haha! Nevertheless, the colour is really pretty, and even a little bit will make you look instantly fresher and give a rosy glow. Mind you, this pic was taken several hours after application.

Guipure + Crochet (light hand)
Second time around, I learnt my lesson and used a lighter hand to apply a mixture of Guipure and Crochet. The effect was really nice, very similar to NARS Orgasm. Pic above was likewise taken several hours after application.

Chantilly on the cheeks

The verdict? These Sleek blush shades are all crazily pigmented! (。✪‿✪。) I think I love this Blush By 3 palette even more than my NARS Orgasm blush, because I can pick one or mix them for a custom shade. Chantilly is my favourite shade, followed by Guipure. Crochet isn't really my type of colour, because it leans a little orange, but it looks nice blended together with Guipure. They also last practically all day, and with the amount of product you get (20g), I don't think it's even possible to hit the pan with this.

Sleek MakeUp Blush By 3 (20g) palettes can be purchased from Luxola.com.my for RM 44.00, along with other Sleek MakeUp products.

I love that these shades are so crazy pigmented because that allows you to use them as something other than blush as well, like say eyeshadow :-) Lovely trio!
