♫ EXO - Exodus
Every time I see or hear the name Akara, my mind immediately links it to that NPC in Diablo II. But that's completely unrelated to today's post, which is about contact lenses. As you can probably already tell from the title, I'm reviewing a pair of Vassen Akara Brown contact lenses, kindly sent to me by Loveshoppingholics.
|That degree of myopia is atrocious, I know.|
Similar to the Kayo 3 Tone lenses, these are sealed in small glass vials, which allow you to see the lens design through the clear bottom part. They are slightly more inconvenient to open compared to blister packs, but I've now had years of practice so it doesn't bother me, lol.
The Vassen Akara Brown lens has a dark outer (limbal) ring common to most circle lenses, and a fairly bright and opaque brown middle section that shows up clearly even on dark irises like mine. I'd say the opacity is quite similar to that of the HoliCat Hazel lens, but with a different design.

Appearance-wise, these lenses have a fairly generic design for circle lenses, with its single-tone iris and dark outer circle. If you have dark irises and want a contact lens that actually shows the colour yet isn't too crazy, this one is great. You can also pair it with natural or heavy makeup, and they won't look strange either way.
Besides Brown, there is also a Grey version of the Vassen Akara lens that is perfect for that sultry, mysterious look. (¬‿¬) Loveshoppingholics offers FREE SHIPPING for orders over $50, and a free animal lens case with every pair of circle lens! (｡✪‿✪｡)
